Oh My What Fun This web site is just loaded with great fun! There are phonics and grammar links. I love the noun and verb game. You don't have to register to play. If your child is doing the second grade games well...you can always let them try the third grade games!

Not all of the links are active, but there are some great spelling activities that you child will like. Some of the sites allow you to load our spelling words. Other links just use words that all second graders should eventually know.

Week Three

Important things are happening this week. We have begun a nutrition unit. You can go here to play some cool games. http://www.nutritionexplorations.org/kids/activities/littled.asp

We have begun working in the computer labs.

We have started spelling. Our new words come home today. There will be a test on Friday.

We also went to the library. Library books can only be brought home if you have a book bag. If you need one, send $4.50 to Mrs. Campbell. The library books are due back every Monday.

Second Day of School

Today was exciting we started to learn about centers. We went to the library, the leap pads, building station, big books and seat work. Or tables are named after the different continents of the world. We Talked about the calendar and did some graphing as well. In rotation we went to Art and Music. We are also reading more in our novel. Did you know a male swan is called a cob?

First Day of School

We love second grade. Our clas is fabulous! We explored with our math manipulatives. We started "The Trumpet of the Swan." We watched a Math Monster video about how important numbers are. We learned the rules of second grade and our color changes. We also talked about what makes a good friend. A best friend helps his friends to be the best they can be. There were tons of school supplies that we organized. We also got to play with our friends. It was a busy day!
